Rediscovering JOY

ree

It was an absolute giggly delight to connect with fellow Aussie and fellow practitioner in the wellbeing healing space: Cait Wotherspoon. Together we sat down with a cuppa in conversation, exploring how reconnecting with our body and creativity can support emotional healing and intuitive living.

Cait invited me to share my personal story of growing up with my creative mother who encouraged play and creative hobbies and fostered in my a sense of imagination and divine connection to something bigger than ourselves.

I was able to share the experiences which lead me on a path of reconnecting to my creative self-expression and what I now teach and guide others in coming back home to themselves and trusting their intuition.

You can listen to our conversation here.

Together, Cait and I talk about:

  • Why so many adults say, “I can’t paint, dance, or draw,” and how I gently challenge that belief.

  • How using creativity through movement, colour, and play can open us to new experiences and emotional regulation.

  • The role of the body as a resource, a way to process sensations, hold space for emotions, and build somatic trust without always needing words.

  • My personal journey of learning to listen to my tired, burnt-out body and honouring what it needed, rather than pushing through or staying in her head.

This conversation is a beautiful reminder that creativity isn’t just about making art,  it’s about reconnecting with your body, play, and the parts of yourself that know how to feel, express, and imagine.
