Last week I met with Kristina Matej from KMM Serenity Therapies and the host of Female Health 101 podcast.

We entered into a conversation sharing our experiences of being disconnected from our bodies and the importance of practices that lead us to becoming more consciously embodied.

Kristina asked me what are some effective strategies people can start to do to reconnect with their bodies.

I love speaking to ‘entry points’ for becoming more aware of our body and accessible and tangible ways to pepper in simple practices into our day to day lives.

People can often feel intimidated and have resistance to starting, not feeling like they have enough time or space during their busy schedules or not knowing where to begin.

I am a huge advocate for people fostering a deeper relationship with Self and encouraging joy in this connection.

These practices don’t have to be big or all consuming. In fact, this is why I created my book: Body Wisdom ~ A guide to connecting with your Intuitive Self - to inspire creative joyous practices to be with Self, with curiosity.

Through these practices you start to playfully and intentionally start a dialogue with your body. Get to know her more, become aware of different sensations and feelings, and feel stronger and more confident in your sense of Self.

With Kristina I share some simple ways to become more attuned to your body.

From minute 37 in our podcast episode, ‘Healing through Embodiment’, I speak to how to access this with the breath, body scans, impulse stretches and curious playful enquiries.
