Heart Wisdom ~ A tapestry of Women’s stories, poetry & creations

Heart Wisdom is a tapestry of twelve women’s stories, poetry and creations. Developed across an intentional eight-month creative container held in 2025, Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy Guide, Cathy Williams, facilitated a series of creative workshops and personalised mentoring, supporting the Heart Wisdom creatives to explore the many landscapes of their heart. 

The result is a rich vibrant collection of personal essays, poetry, short fiction, ink drawings, collage, paintings and photo-media. Peppered throughout their creations are invitational creative prompts for you, dear reader, to explore the wisdom your heart holds.

Heart Wisdom is:

• For the women who want to connect deeper with their heart space. Who are curious but also hesitant to be with their feelings and let them become more known to them. 
• For the women who appreciate vulnerability, the courage it takes, what it asks of us and how it inspires her own vulnerable parts to be heard. 
• For the women who wouldn’t necessarily call themselves artists but love to dabble and yearns to find more creative time for heart-led self expression. 
• For the women who love a vibrant visual journey mixing written word with handmade creations.
• For the women who desire a book of wisdom, inspiration and journal all in one. 
• For the women whose idea of relaxation is to sit down with a cuppa, pick up a book and open to any page, taking in the wisdom of one short form piece at a time. 

Spanning themes of grief, joy, longing and belonging, this collection is an invitation to be with our Hearts.

The Heart ~ A powerful force. It encompasses so very much. Heart as a place of strength. Heart as an unwavering sanctuary. Heart as pain, as grief, as ache, as sacrifice. Heart as compassion, as care, as consideration. Heart as Love - in how we show up for oversells, in friendship, in relationship, through our actions. Heart as hope, as fate. Heart as connection. Heart as learning to trust, again and again and again. Heart as openness, as curiosity. Heart as a big warm welcome. Heart as acceptance. Heart as passion. Heart as remembering. Heart as Home.
