INTRODUCING CATHY WILLIAMS - Author / Facilitator / Trainer
Cathy Williams is one of the brightest minds in body-based healing and creative arts therapy today.
She is an award-winning Author and International Speaker, Facilitator & Trainer, specialising in Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy, founder of Intuitive Self, based in Naarm (Melbourne).
Cathy incorporates the transformative power of movement, art and creative-reflective practices in reconnecting people with their body. Known for her creative ingenuity and compassionate empowering approach, Cathy encourages deep yet playful exploration for creative self-discovery, enabling you to tap into your innate wisdom and intuitive guidance.
With over 15 years experience in Community Development, both within Australia and internationally, Cathy has designed and facilitated programs focused on empowerment, capacity building and social justice. She has frontline industry experience working with diverse and marginalised adult groups and young-people who struggle with drug and alcohol dependency, mental health challenges, body issues, sexual assault and domestic violence. Cathy creates spaces, resources and experiences for healing, education and personal growth.
A lifelong learner, Cathy holds formal qualifications in Masters of Social Science, Movement-Based Somatic Therapy, Expressive Art Therapies, Groupwork Facilitation and Trauma and the Body.
Intuitive Self offers public workshops, in-person and online course programs, professional development training and wellbeing and personalised one-on-one sessions.
In her personal life she identifies as an artist and embodied storyteller, welcoming creative enriching collaborations and speaks at women’s festivals all over Australia, allowing women, sometimes for the first time to experience her work.
